Committees, Teams and Task ForcesCountless AEC volunteers provide their time and talent to the Aluminum Extruders Council, its committees, and the industry; they are the lifeblood and moral compass of AEC.STREAMLINED VOLUNTEER STRUCTURE: Four Committees and a Board Each of the three main strategic focus areas has an oversight committee:
TEAMS & TASK FORCES: Relevant, Nimble, and Task-Oriented The backbone of this organizational structure is the cadre of task-oriented teams and task forces that, chartered by the Board, each report to an Oversight Committee, and focus on one or more specific strategic initiative (Teams are expected to have a longer life span than do Task Forces. For example, a group working on publishing a new Extrusion Manual would be expected to complete their work within two years, thus would be a Task Force; when their task is done, the group disbands. In contrast, a group providing oversight to the surveys produced each year by AEC has an ongoing purpose and, thus, is a Team).
