Presenter: Jerome Fourmann

Following an introduction to extrusion metallurgy fundamental, the presentation will address the importance of agile quenching based on the alloys and the end-use applications.

Our presenter, Jerome Fourmann serves as Technical Director of Global Customer Support and Product Development for the aluminum metal group of Rio Tinto. Since joining Rio Tinto in 2000 (formally Alcan), Fourmann applies his technical expertise to support and provide solutions in the field of aluminum products metallurgy tailored to the transportation, architectural and consumer durable markets. Fourmann is a frequent presenter at industry conferences and is a Contributing Editor for the international magazine Light Metal Age with his “Aluminum extrusion defects” series. Fourmann holds a MS degree in Materials Science and Metallurgical Engineering from the School of Foundry & Forging (ESFF, Paris - France) and currently resides in Cleveland, Ohio.
