Meeting Tomorrow's Challenges with Aluminum Extrusion
Thursday, June 21
2:00 p.m. EDT (1:00 p.m. CDT; 11:00 a.m. PDT)
Speaker: Jason Weber, Taber Extrusions
Product designers and development engineers in a wide range of industries routinely turn to extruded aluminum components to solve product challenges. Historically, extrusions have been found in major applications including construction, transportation, consumer durables, and recreational products.
Today, engineers are looking to extrusions to help meet the challenges of restoring our infrastructure, advancing medical therapies, and reducing the carbon footprint of vehicles. This webinar will explore the unique attributes of the aluminum extrusion process and how they contribute to effective product solutions. It will also offer tips on designing and specifying extrusions to ensure the performance you need in a cost-effective manner.
Join AEC for an informative webinar, hosted by Design World, that discusses the many possibilities that designing with aluminum extrusion affords. Following the webinar, the participant will better understand:
- Key attributes of aluminum extrusions
- Alloy selection and trade-offs
- Best practices for extrusion design
- Specifying microstructure for critical applications.
