Today, engineers are looking to aluminum extrusions to help meet the challenges of restoring our infrastructure, advancing medical therapies, extending usable commercial spaces, and reducing the carbon footprint of vehicles.

Product designers and development engineers in a wide range of industries routinely turn to extruded aluminum components to solve product challenges. Extrusions are contributing to product solutions in a diverse range of applications including construction, transportation, electronics, consumer durables, and recreational products.

This webinar, hosted by Design News, will explore the unique attributes of the aluminum extrusion process and how they contribute to effective product solutions. It will also offer tips on designing and specifying extrusions to ensure the needed performance in a cost-effective manner.

Following the webinar, the participant will better understand:

  • Key attributes of aluminum extrusions
  • Alloy selection and trade-offs
  • Best practices for extrusion design
  • The importance of microstructure in critical applications
