2018 Aluminum Extrusion
Winners of the 2018 Aluminum Extrusion Design Competition were announced at the Extrusion Design University-EDU '18, in Chicago, Illinois on May 15, 2018. A total of $14,000 was awarded to five students and two professionals for the 2018 competition.
The Grand Prize of $3,500 was awarded to Micaela Morris of Roll-A-Cover International in Bethany, CT for the company's retractable glass enclosures. Read the news release covering all of the winners here.

About the Aluminum Extrusion Design Competition
The Aluminum Extrusion Design Competition is intended to enlighten students and engineering, design, and architecture professionals about aluminum extrusions' superior advantages and many applications.
The Aluminum Extrusion Design Competition challenges designers and engineers to think about aluminum extrusions as a holistic solution to a design problem by creating a product or system that includes at least one extruded aluminum component. Think beyond the ordinary to come up with unique and resourceful uses for aluminum extrusion!
The 2019 Aluminum Extrusion Design Competition will be open to students only. The Call for Entries will be available summer/fall 2018 on this page.
The next professional competition will be held to coincide with the Twelfth International Aluminum Extrusion Technology Seminar, scheduled for May 19-22, 2020 in Orlando, Florida. Watch for the 2020 Professional Design Competition announcement on this page as details become available.
