Why Participate?

AEC and the ET Foundation are adept at creating great value in educational programming—for both industry professionals and potential extrusion customers. Develop or cement your reputation as a knowledge leader and align your company with excellence by participating as a speaker. Share your expertise and knowledge to help ‘grow the pie’ for your company and the entire aluminum extrusion industry.

EDU ’18 – For Designers & Engineers

Based on the experience AEC has obtained over the past few years presenting webinars for design and engineering professionals, EDU ’18 attendees will be eager to learn and earn possible continuing education learning units for the information they obtain at this conference.

Continuing Education Learning Units

This new event is designed for individuals that want to learn how to design and engineer products using aluminum extrusions. Many design and engineering professionals are required to stay current on their professional education by taking classes that earn continuing education learning units, or CEUs. A full day of classes at EDU ’18 will provide a convenient one-stop venue, potentially allowing them to earn all or most of their annual CEUs at one meeting.  Presentations will be vetted for continuing education learning units and credits will be administered by AEC.

You’ll be helping to advance the knowledge of these design professionals and create an atmosphere of learning and development. That, in turn, will expand the positive reputation of the aluminum extrusion industry, your company and the Council.

Delegates are interested in what you have to say on topics including (but not limited to):

  • Extrusion Design Fundamentals
  • The Extrusion Process
  • Alloys & Manufacturing Developments
  • Die Design And Die Making
  • Basic Metallurgy And Alloy Selection
  • Alloys and Their Applications
  • Aluminum Structural Design
  • Aluminum Extrusion Finishing Technologies
  • Fabrication Methods
  • Aluminum Joining Methods/Technologies
  • Specific Market Applications For Aluminum Extrusions
  • Sustainability And Environmental Issues
  • Case Studies

If your company has already developed a course related to aluminum extrusion that has been approved for CEUs, EDU ’18 would be the perfect venue to share your knowledge and presentation!

Who Will Attend?

The EDU ’18 program will benefit design and engineering professionals from virtually every end-use market for aluminum extrusions, including:
